Camille's Cafe ReviewContributed by Tim Williston May 11, 2005 Hotspot Vitals: Today I decided to try out Camille's breakfast menu while I reviewed their Wifi service. I went to their premier Tulsa store at Riverside and the Creek turnpike. First, I was a little disappointed to find only one accessible power outlet in the entire seating area. Fortunately I was the only customer in the store at 7:45 on a Wed. morning, so I was able to grab up the outlet for my power hungry laptop. The store is very modern looking with a number of comfortable booths and tables (by the way, the lone power outlet is on the wall about in the middle of the booths). There is a couch and some current newspapers available as well. The store seemed very cold to me this morning. They must have the AC cranked in anticipation of the 88 degrees that it'll be this afternoon. Despite the chilly weather, my breakfast was very yummy! I'm going to have to come here more often. The service was also very good as well. Alright, down to reason that you are reading this. I was able to pick up Camille's Wifi service right away with an excellent signal and 5 bars. The speed is only 11 Mbps, so I assume that they are on an older "B" network. After opening my trusty Firefox browser, I was taken to a screen where I had to accept their "agreement". After that, I was on my way to the speed tests, which were about low average. I love coming to Camille's for lunch and dinner as well. Their wraps are my favorite in all of Tulsa. Also, my iTunes radio stream had to rebuffer twice while I was there, and the speed dropped to as low as 1.0 Mbps, so this didn't help my opinion of their Wifi service. Overall, this Camille's is a decent place to surf, but and excellent place to chow! |
