Cosmo Cafe ReviewContributed by Luke Crouch June 1, 2005 Hotspot Vitals: Cosmos is located right next to Blockbuster on Memorial just north of 71st. In one sentence - It's not your typical coffee shop. Although they do have some great coffee drinks, they also have, well, Cosmos, beers, fountain, and other drinks. They also have a pretty impressive do-it-yourself sandwich or salad menu which you can use to order a custom-made sandwich or salad. But if that much openness scares you, there are pre-set menu selections, though they are not quite traditional (ie, Bruschetta w/ red peppers instead of tomatos). The service is great, and more like a restaurant - the wait staff will come to take your orders and be on-hand to refill your drinks, but you still take your ticket up to the counter to pay. Cosmos will NOT ask you to buy something to access the WiFi. In addition, they have a desktop station set up for public use, in case you didn't bring your laptop, or if you're out of battery power. Connection speeds up to 54Mbps on G, and the connection is very reliable on the premises. |
