Hideaway Pizza ReviewContributed by Tim Williston June 15, 2005
SSID: Hideaway Hideaway... what else do I need to say. They have, in my opinion, the best pizza in Tulsa, along with great service and a cool atmosphere. Hideaway got their start in Stillwater, which is where I went to school - Go Pokes! I even love Hideaway so much that my wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here! Anyway, you don't care about that kind of stuff... you just want to know about the Wi-Fi. Ok, but first let me tell you a little about the store first. They have quite a few tables as well as a very large deck and a small separated group area. Their waitstaff is friendly, and I had no problem getting a table at 1:00 pm on a Wednesday. I also had no problem getting connected to their wireless network. They have no login screens of any kind, and I connected quickly with a 54.0 Mbps and excellent connection. Their tables are "mouse friendly", and their chairs are relatively comfortable. They don't, however, have any power outlets available that I could find. A quick speed test showed a pretty good connection to the Internet. During my visit, the connection never slowed or stopped. A quick tracert showed that they have a Cox connection. They must have a decent range, because I was able to pick up their wifi signal the last time I visited Java Dave's, which is about 100 yards away. Hideaway's Pizza will probably always be my favorite place to eat pizza. I love their fried mushrooms as well. Now, with pretty good wifi service, I'll have to go there more often. Make sure you try them out the next time you're free surfin' in the Tulsa area! |
