I liked McAlisters so much the first time I visited there, so I decided to try the other one in town. This one is on the corner of 91st and Memorial. The decoration is the same as the other store in BA - a comfortable, hometown atmosphere.

After I ordered my sandwich, I started my search for a power outlet. My notebook was a little low on battery juice, so an outlet was a little more important than usual. I was only able to find one in the NE corner of the restaurant.

I was able to connect to their wireless network easily as expected. They have the newer G network, and I connected with an excellent connection, but at a slower speed than the maximum. That's ok, 36 Mbps is much faster than the Internet connection anyway.

I was a little surprised with the speed test. According to Internet Frog, I tested their download speed at 2,865 Mbps, which is about as fast as my Cox broadband connection at home. I concluded that they must have a Cox connection. During my time there, I didn't lose the connection or experience any slowdowns. I was disappointed, however, by the tables. They seem to be made of the same marble as the tables at the BA store, which makes my optical mouse useless.

Despite the unmouse-friendly tables, McAlisters is a nice place to eat and surf. They have great service as well as excellent food. Speaking of food, their menu is quite large and diverse... and I still need to get one of their spuds.
